Within a few weeks of your due date, gather the personal items you and your family will need during your stay at Avista Adventist Hospital’s New Life Birth Center.

For the mother-to-be

• Comfortable nightgown that opens in the front for easy breastfeeding
• Socks
• Slippers
• Personal toiletries
• Nursing bra
• Bathrobe
• Change of clothes for the trip home; typically, the clothes you wore during your fifth month of pregnancy will be the most comfortable
  (Feminine hygiene products are provided for you by the hospital.)

For your newborn

• Receiving blanket
• Extra blanket or bunting during cold weather
• Onesie
• Outfit
• Infant car seat for the trip home-this is required by Colorado state law
• Diapers 

For your birth coach:

• Change of clothes
• Personal toiletries
• Camera with extra batteries
• Favorite snacks
• Selection of favorite music; an iPod, CD player or radio
• Personal laptop or tablet if you choose (you will have access to free wireless Internet)
• Phone numbers for those you'll want to contact after delivery
